Due to an imperfect booking system and links to liability for violating military registration rules, drivers refuse to go on flights or do not return to Ukraine.

Vice-President of the Association of International Road Carriers of Ukraine Vladimir Balin spoke about this at a press conference in Ukrinfrma.
He predicted that the situation will become more complicated on May 18, when the new law on mobilization comes into force.
Allegedly, border guards at checkpoints are already warning drivers that from May 18, without a mark in their registration documents, they will not let them go abroad. As of today, there are no such instructions, but we all understand that from May 18, border guards will have the right to demand these documents from any person,” Balin added.
At the end of April, Rakurs reported that TCC employees were removing truck drivers from international flights.
When returning to Ukraine from abroad, they are stopped, their documents are checked and they are asked to go to the TCC. If they refuse, they are brought in by force. They promise that they will check your documents and let you go, but after passing a military medical commission they send you to a training center.
The connection with such drivers disappears almost immediately, while the cars sit on the road or at the checkpoint where they were left until another driver picks them up. At the same time, it is the mobilized drivers who are responsible for the cargo they leave on the road, the Association of International Road Carriers reported.
The Association reminded that transport provision is a vital sector of the economy.
