On Sunday night, drones of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine attacked important enterprises in Russia – in the Volgograd, Kaluga and Lipetsk regions. Ukrainskaya Pravda reported this on May 12, citing an interlocutor in the Main Intelligence Directorate.
It is said that as a result of the special operation, the Kaluganefteprodukt, the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant and the Volgograd Oil Refinery were attacked.
“These military targets were hit with Ukrainian-made UAVs. The work will continue,” the source said.
In this regard, the Russian Ministry of Defense traditionally announced the alleged “downing” of all six drones and two missiles of the “Kyiv regime.” In fact, the Russians confirmed the drone attacks announced by the Main Intelligence Directorate.
Earlier on Sunday, Russian media, citing Governor Andrei Bocharov, reported another drone attack on a refinery in the Volgograd region, owned by Lukoil.
The same plant was attacked on the night of May 11. It was noted that at that time the main oil processing plants AVT-1 and AVT-6 were damaged.
