The total emergency supply amounted to less than 1% of daily consumption. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy.
Today, May 11, at the request of Ukraine, an emergency supply of electricity was already carried out from Poland, Romania and Slovakia. A shortage of electricity, which will again require emergency supplies, is also predicted for the evening of the current day. So the Ministry of Energy is calling for:
- consumers – reduce the use of energy-intensive appliances during peak hours (especially in the evening from 17.00 to 22.00);
- industry – reviewing production processes to reduce the load on the energy system, as well as maximizing the use of imports to ensure the avoidance of outages and enhancing the stability of the energy system.
Yesterday, due to network restrictions on the lines of the transmission system operator, outage schedules were applied in the Kharkov region and for industry in Krivoy Rog. Restrictions in these regions are still in effect today.
From 18:00 Friday to 6:30 Saturday, restrictions on industrial consumers were applied in all regions except the Kherson region. At the same time, the power supply to household consumers was not limited, the department notes.
