The head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry traditionally opposed aid to Kyiv and said the Alliance was allegedly “heading” toward World War Three.
Hungary is again dissatisfied with the position of NATO countries in providing aid to Ukraine. Budapest believes that the Alliance has allegedly “crossed its own red lines” and is now taking a “big step” towards World War Three. This was confirmed by the statement of Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó, reports Digi24.
The Hungarian official rushed to confirm that his country would not participate in either the €100 billion NATO fund for Ukraine or the Alliance’s plans to coordinate military aid to Ukraine and the training of Ukrainian soldiers. .
“NATO has crossed its own red lines and is taking big steps towards war, while direct confrontation risks starting World War III,” Szijjártó said.
According to him, NATO countries consider the war in Ukraine as their war, while Budapest has the opposite position.
“Those who believe this is our war support the continuation of the war until Ukraine wins,” the official said.
“The only realistic way” to end the war is diplomacy, Szijjarto said.
Let’s remember that recently an ally of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, head of the Hungarian Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs Zsolt Németh criticized Budapest’s position on the war in Ukraine, and also recalled Russia’s aggression against NATO .
