Heavy fighting continues along the entire front line. During the report, special attention was paid to areas in the Kharkov region, Pokrovsky and other areas in the Donetsk region. We discussed defense actions and the tightening of our positions in the Kharkov region. Chasov Yar was a separate topic of conversation. The head of state announced this on May 10 in Telegram.
We are adding our forces to the Kharkov directions. “Both along our state border and along the entire front line, we will invariably destroy the occupier in such a way as to thwart any Russian offensive intentions,” he noted.
The evening report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for May 10 reported that in the Seversky direction the enemy was increasing its military presence in the border areas and conducting sabotage and reconnaissance activities. The enemy is also shelling Ukrainian villages from Russian territory and building up mine and explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine.
The Russians carried out five attacks in the Slobozhansky direction, and in the Kupyansky direction the defenders repelled 10 attacks. The invaders were stopped six more times in the Liman direction.
It is difficult for Ukrainian fighters in the Bakhmut and Avdeevsky directions – in these directions they repelled 39 enemy attacks. In the Novopavlovsk direction, the Defense Forces held the enemy during three attacks. In the Orekhovsky direction, the Russians attacked the positions of the defenders eight times.
Over the course of 24 hours, Ukrainian Armed Forces rocket launchers and Air Force aviation carried out strikes on a Russian anti-aircraft missile system, a radar station and 17 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated.
Let us remind you that the commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, Alexander Pavlyuk, said that the critical phase of the Russian-Ukrainian war will come in the next two months, because the enemy is throwing all its forces to dislodge the Defense Forces units from their positions before help arrives from the United States.
