A robot from Boston Dynamics can drag an unexploded ordnance in batches of up to 100 rounds into special pits for detonation.
The U.S. Army will provide one of its two work dogs to help an American non-profit organization remove mines and other ammunition from Ukraine. On Wednesday, June 22, Foreign Policy Magazine reported, citing its sources.
According to the insider, the United States has already decided to dedicate the Spot robot dog made by Boston Dynamics, which is designed, among other things, to neutralize mortar shells and cluster munitions.
The modern equipment, along with Ukrainian sappers, will be used by representatives of the HALO Trust organization, which has contracts with the United States government to work in the de-occupied territories of Ukraine.
“During the tests, the Spot did a good job with small flying projectiles, similar to those seen on the territory of Ukraine,” the newspaper wrote.
Spot can also help move unexploded ordnance, such as cluster bombs, into pits with other ammunition, allowing them to be safely detonated away from the civilian population in batches of up to 50-100 shells without endangering people. “
Earlier, law enforcement officials prevented the destruction of an infrastructure facility in Kharkiv. A disguised cache with weapons and 10 kg of explosives was found.
Three barrels with machine guns and explosives were excavated in Krivoy Rog
Remember that the Patron dog, who serves in the ranks of the State Emergency Service, has an official profile on the TikTok social network.
