The planes will be delivered to Kyiv in June-July, but it is not yet known which country will do it first.
The first Western F-16 fighter will arrive in Ukraine within the next few weeks. The British newspaper The Standard reported this on Friday, May 10, citing a high-ranking military source.
The media say that the fighters will be handed over in June-July.
At the same time, the source did not tell the publication which country will provide these aircraft.
Note that The Standard is owned by Russian citizens Alexander Lebedev and Evgeny Lebedev since 2009 – 74.1%, as well as the British media group Daily Mail and General Trust – 24.9%.
As we wrote earlier, some Ukrainian pilots are already completing training on American F-16 aircraft. When the fighters arrive in Ukraine, the pilots will be ready to carry out their missions.
