The posters show Zelensky working with the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
Under the picture is the caption “warmongering” and a call to “stop the EU madness.”
The Ukrainian embassy has already contacted the Austrian Foreign Ministry with a statement that this “distorts the reasons for the war and insults the Ukrainian people.”
The posters were hung by the Austrian Freedom Party as part of the election campaign for the European Parliament. The party has a high chance of winning the elections to the Austrian parliament.

The party has long-standing ties with the Russian Federation, opposes Russian sanctions, and takes an anti-Ukrainian position.
