Ukraine received the first F-16 fighter simulator

The main module of the aviation simulator is already being tested and prepared for operation by Ukrainian specialists.

Ukraine received the first flight simulator for the F-16 fighter. The Czech Republic transferred it, the commander of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Nikolai Oleshchuk said on Telegram on Friday, May 10.

“The Czech Republic transferred the first F-16 fighter simulator to one of the tactical aviation brigades,” he wrote.

According to him, the main module of the aviation simulator is already being tested and prepared for operation by Ukrainian specialists.

“I thank everyone who is helping Ukraine strengthen its aviation sector,” the commander added.

A day before it became known that some Ukrainian pilots are already completing training on American F-16 aircraft. When the fighters arrive in Ukraine, the pilots will be ready to carry out their missions.

It was previously reported that Ukraine could receive the first F-16 fighters in the summer of 2024. The Ministry of Defense also said that all necessary decisions on the acquisition of F-16 aircraft have been made and the process is “moving according to plan.” And the air force ensured that the appearance of the F-16 would be a surprise.
