The total losses of the aggressor country since the beginning of the large-scale invasion amounted to about 478 thousand 730 soldiers and officers. Also, over the past 24 hours, 11 tanks, 35 armored combat vehicles, 23 artillery systems, 69 vehicles and eight special equipment were destroyed. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on May 9.
The enemy’s total combat losses from February 24, 2022 to May 9, 2024 were approximately:
- personnel – about 478 thousand 730 (+1 thousand 300) people,
- tanks – 7 thousand 429 (+11) units,
- armored combat vehicles – 14 thousand 281 (+35) units,
- artillery systems – 12 thousand 340 (+23) units,
- MLRS – 1 thousand 58 (+1) units,
- air defense systems – 793 (+1) units,
- aircraft – 349 (+0) units,
- helicopters – 325 (+0) units,
- UAV of operational-tactical level – 9 thousand 775 (+47),
- cruise missiles – 2 thousand 192 (+41),
- ships/boats – 26 (+0) units,
- submarines – 1 (+0) units,
- automotive equipment and tank trucks – 16 thousand 618 (+69) units,
- special equipment – 2 thousand 27 (+8).
Let us remind you that soldiers of the 47th separate mechanized brigade destroyed a Russian T-80 using a TOW anti-tank missile, which was fired from a Bradley infantry fighting vehicle.
