Russian hackers linked to the GRU carried out a cyberattack on government agencies in Poland this week. This was stated by the National Research Institute of Poland, writes Reuters.
It has been noted that the malware used by APT28 hackers is aimed at Polish government agencies.
“Technical indicators and similarities with previous attacks made it possible to identify the APT28 group. This group is associated with the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation,” the institute said.
It was also reported that earlier, individual NATO countries accused Russia of cyber attacks in particular, Poland had previously been subjected to similar attacks.
