At Istanbul Airport, a cargo plane landed on its fuselage after the front landing gear failed on the morning of May 8. No one was killed or injured. TRTHaber reported it.
According to Turkey’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, the Boeing 763 aircraft, registered N110FE, owned by Fedex Airlines, reported to Istanbul Airport Control that the nose landing gear could not be opened due to a hydraulic problem.. .It landed on runway 16R with the landing gear closed and stopped in the middle of the runway.
The incident is under investigation.
