The country provided more than 20 thousand Starlink terminals, which became part of Ukraine’s critical infrastructure.
Poland will extend the subscription fee for Starlink terminals for Ukraine. This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology – Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov on Telegram on Monday, May 6.
“The country provided more than 20 thousand Starlink terminals, which became part of the critical infrastructure they provide communications and Internet to Ukrainians for this decision,” he said after a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digitalization of Poland.
Fedorov added that a memorandum of cooperation between the ministries was also signed after which Ukraine and Poland will implement joint projects on digitalization, IT industry development, artificial intelligence and e-government.
The ministers also discussed the issues of supporting the work of a data center for the State Tax Service of Ukraine, which was built on the territory of Poland for the security of important data.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian front started using Starlink terminals. Later, GUR confirmed the data and published the evidence. GUR believes that the enemy receives Starlink terminals through third countries thanks to so-called parallel imports.
Billionaire Elon Musk also responded to the situation. He assured that his company SpaceX does not sell Starlink terminals to Russia, either directly or indirectly.
