During an inspection of one of the abandoned buildings, two homemade explosive devices were discovered under construction debris.
The FSB detained a resident of Tambov, who allegedly, at the direction of the Ukrainian special services, was preparing explosions near the buildings of regional and arbitration courts. This was reported by the Russian media in connection with the Public Relations Center of the FSB of Russia.
It was noted that while walking around the area near the Tambov railway station, a suspicious man was seen placing unknown objects in the construction waste. During an inspection of one of the abandoned buildings, two homemade explosives were discovered under construction debris, which were neutralized.
According to the FSB, the detainee said that he regularly visited various thematic Internet resources, where in July 2023 he was allegedly recruited by the Ukrainian special services to carry out sabotage and attacks of terrorists on Russian territory.
At the beginning of March 2024, he was allegedly tasked with committing acts of sabotage and terrorism against the Tambov Regional and Tambov Arbitration Courts. The defendant is now in custody.
Earlier, the director of the Russian FSB for the Tambov region announced that it had stopped the illegal activities of a Tambov native who allegedly planned to commit a terrorist act and sabotage in the region.
