Russian attack groups entered the territory of a refractory plant in the city of Krasnogorovka, Donetsk region. Units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces expelled them from there. This is what the speaker of the operational-strategic group of forces (OSGV) Khortitsa, Lieutenant Colonel Nazar Voloshin, said in a commentary for Interfax-Ukraine on Friday, May 3.
“The enemy does not give up attempts to attack the city in small attack groups. From time to time, the enemy also tries to attack the surrounding area with armored vehicles that destroy all attempts and intention of the enemy to enter the city some of the enemy groups managed to enter and hide in the territory the remains of the refractory plant are under our fire control,” said Voloshin.
He assured that the part of the settlement where the enemy is located is also under fire control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. All measures are taken to drive the enemy there.
“The Russian military, which entered the attack groups in Krasnogorovka, is in a difficult situation, because they have almost lost ammunition supplies and the fighting continues, the Defense Forces prevent the enemy’s advance on the city, ” said the spokesman and assured that the situation is under the control of the units of the Armed Forces Ukraine.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Armed Forces ensured that the enemy did not penetrate the Seversky Donets-Donbass canal, and strengthened the second line of defense.
