President Vladimir Zelensky held a meeting on the security and socio-economic situation in the Khmelnitsky region. The press service of the head of state reported this on Friday, May 3.
Zelensky introduced the new chairman of the Khmelnitsky Regional State Administration, Sergei Tyurin, who has been serving as the head since March 2023. The President thanked him for the work done during this period.
“Today, the most important thing is the safety of the Khmelnytskyi region and its people, of course, help to our military, the wounded, especially rehabilitation,” said Vladimir Zelensky.
The President heard reports from the commander of the operational command West, Brigadier General Vladimir Shvedyuk and the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Igor Klimenko. They reported the protection of critical infrastructure facilities, including the Khmelnitsky Nuclear Power Plant.
The commander of the Air Command West, Boris Genov, reported on the air defense of the western regions and means of protecting the gas infrastructure of the Lviv region.
The head of the Khmelnytsky Regional Police Department, Sergei Tyurin, reported on the elimination of the consequences of the Russian attack and the restoration of damaged houses and energy facilities. He informed about support for displaced businesses and educational institutions, as well as internally displaced people.
We remind you that today Vladimir Zelensky came on a working visit to the Khmelnitsky region. In Khmelnitsky, he visited the hospital where soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are being treated.
