The Cabinet of Ministers can make changes to the border crossing rules after the mobilization law comes into effect. This was announced by the representative of the State Border Service Andrei Demchenko in a briefing on Thursday, May 2.
He suggested that the changes would apply to people liable for military service with deferment from conscription for mobilization.
“The law stipulates that the government must bring its regulatory documents in accordance with the requirements of the mobilization law, I cannot say exactly what they are, who they will concern and mobilization In preparation, changes were made regarding in the conditions for deferment from conscription, it should be expected that certain, although not drastic, changes can be made,” said Demchenko.
We remind you that on April 16, President Vladimir Zelensky signed the mobilization law. The document will take effect on May 18.
On April 23, Ukraine temporarily suspended consular services for military-age men abroad. In addition, the government banned the issuance of new passports outside of Ukraine to men aged 18-60 years.
