Russia will not participate in the Peace Summit in Switzerland; this is the principled position of Ukraine, emphasized the head of the Office of the President.
Russia was not invited to participate in the Global Peace Summit, and China’s participation will be very important. Ukraine is doing everything to attract Chinese representatives to participate in the event. This is what the head of the Presidential Office, Andrei Yermak, said in a telethon on Thursday, May 2.
“This is a clear statement that the war must stop, a just peace must be restored on Ukrainian soil, attention must be paid to international law, the UN Charter And, of course, it is the stabilization of responsible countries to support Ukraine,” he said.
According to Ermak, invitations were sent to more than 150 countries and international organizations.
“Russia will definitely not be at the Peace Summit in Switzerland, this is our principled position,” stressed the head of the OP.
At the same time, according to him, “we are doing everything to ensure that China is present is very important, and the consultations continue to be conducted at various levels with the participation of our partners are present.”
We remind you that the Peace Summit will be held on June 15-16 in Switzerland. The Ukrainian side expects that 80-100 countries of the world will participate in this event.
Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that there is no point in sitting at the negotiating table with Russia, because it is not possible to get actions from it. And the global Peace Summit involves the creation of a coalition of countries that share the same principles.
