The recommendation was given in connection with the emergence of information in the media about the mass refusal of citizens of Kyrgyzstan to enter the Russian Federation.
Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that citizens temporarily avoid traveling to Russia. The press service of the department reported this on Thursday, May 2.
“The Ministry again recommends that fellow citizens who do not have compelling reasons to travel to the Russian Federation temporarily refrain from traveling to its territory until the previously introduced additional security measures and the regime of enhanced entry control to state border is removed, and if they have to leave, check in advance for any travel restrictions in Russia “, said the statement.
The Foreign Ministry noted that the recommendation was given in connection with the emergence of information in the media about the widespread refusal of citizens of Kyrgyzstan to enter the Russian Federation. At the same time, the department claims that information about mass rejections has not been confirmed through diplomatic channels.
Let’s remember that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan earlier called on citizens of the country to temporarily refrain from traveling to Russia. The Tajik Foreign Ministry also presented Russian Ambassador Semyon Grigoriev with a note against restrictions on the rights of Tajik citizens.
After the terrorist attack on the Crocus City Hall concert hall in the Moscow region, in which Russian authorities suspect the involvement of citizens of Tajikistan, xenophobic sentiments about migrants in the Russian Federation have intensified.
