In view of the “unpredictability of the development of the international situation,” the Russian Federation has become too busy maintaining a “dialogue on deconflicting.”
Russia’s main priority is to avoid conflict between nuclear powers. This was announced on Wednesday, June 22, by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, according to Russian media.
“Given the risks of further escalation of the Ukrainian crisis and the general unpredictability of the development of the international situation, the unconditional priority of Russia’s diplomacy is to avoid a direct conflict between nuclear powers, in order to maintain a dialogue on deconflicting, ”he said.
According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, the risk of using nuclear weapons in the world has reached its highest level since the Cold War.
It will be recalled that the UN did not exclude the possibility of Russia using nuclear weapons in Ukraine. The organization believes that the prospect, which was previously unimaginable, “emerged within the limits of the possible.”
