The property of the pro-Russian ex-Minister of Education of Ukraine Dmitry Tabachnik was transferred to the management of the State Property Fund.

The head of the Fund, Vitaly Koval, announced this today, May 1, in his Telegram channel.
This is about:
- funds in the amount of about 144 thousand dollars;
- five plots of land and a house with an area of 672.7 square meters. m in the village of Kozin, Obukhovsky district, Kyiv region;
- half an apartment in Kyiv on Yaroslavov Val street:
- the right to compensation for monetary assets in the amount of more than UAH 40 million;
- the right to a creditor’s claim for an amount exceeding UAH 191 thousand.
In addition, by decision of the High Anti-Corruption Court, the property of Rostislav Shvets, a former pro-Russian clergyman, was transferred to the State Property Fund. This is an apartment in Simferopol and 4 cars: two Mercedes, a Toyota and a Nissan,” Koval added.
Koval noted that all funds from the sale of sanctioned assets by the State Property Fund are directed to the Fund for Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression.
Tabachnyk served as head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine in 1994-1996. He was deputy prime minister in two governments of Viktor Yanukovych (2002-2003 and 2006-2007). From 2010 to 2014, he served as Minister of Education and Science in the government of Mykola Azarov. On February 23, 2014, by resolution of the Verkhovna Rada, he was relieved of his duties as Minister of Education.
Since 2014, he has been hiding from Ukrainian justice in temporarily occupied Crimea. In the summer of 2015, he was put on the all-Ukrainian wanted list.
In 2022, the SBU charged Tabachnik with treason. At the beginning of 2023, it became known that the SBU had seized Tabachnyk’s property.
In February 2023, Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree depriving a number of civil servants of the Yanukovych presidency of Ukrainian citizenship, including Tabachnyk.
