In Odessa, a sculpture by Mikhail Reva “Epiphany” or “Epiphany” was installed on Dumskaya Square. It will be exhibited over the Easter holidays and will then be presented at the Venice Biennale.

The temporary exhibition is a common art project of artists from Odessa and Italy. The sculpture, three meters high, is made of steel and copper. It is shaped like a glasses frame made from 33 ball holes. Some of the balls are depicted in the form of flowers, which, according to the author, resemble wounds from balls in the human body.
There is another meaning in the work: the letters “XB” formed by the sculpture. This is a reference to the Christian “Christ is Risen” as a symbol of victory over death for the sake of life and love.
The joint art project “Moment of Epiphany” or Epiphany Now is a collaboration between sculptor Mikhail Reva (Odessa), designers Antonio Battaglia and Marco Andreoni, founders of the In Barberia brand (Venice) and Alex Sino, producer and musician, winner of the Latin Gramm award.
For the last two years, Mikhail Reva has been exploring objects that carry the energy of war, transforming them into new metaphorical images. In the language of visual art, he talks about the crimes of the Russian army, using fragments of destroyed equipment of the invaders, weapons and missile fragments, which the enemy sends to kill and destroy civilian objects.
The Italians were inspired by the sculptor’s idea and invited the author to produce a limited edition of frames for collectors and the general public. Alex Sino uses a frame sketch to design the cover of a joint music album with world-class stars.
In addition, the sculpture will be transported to Italy in the near future.
