On the eve of Easter, the curfew schedule in Ukraine will not change and will last from 0.00 to 5.00 in the morning.
To ensure law and order on Easter in Ukraine, more than 23 thousand law enforcement officers are involved. The head of the Department of Preventive Activities of the National Police, Maxim Akhrameev, announced this on Tuesday, April 30, during a telethon.
According to him, it is expected that more than 10 million believers will go to churches for Easter, and services will be held in 13 thousand religious buildings in Ukraine.
“The national police will take the necessary measures aimed at properly ensuring law and order, including ensuring public safety and order during religious ceremonies, as well as increasing the number of vehicles and pedestrians on the streets of crowded places,” Akhrameev said.
The number of investigative teams will also increase to quickly respond and document illegal actions.
“The reserves will be made up of special police, bomb technicians and dog handlers in total, more than 23,000 law enforcement officers are involved. Of course, we will serve alongside our colleagues from the services emergency said.

Easter this year fell on March 31st according to the Gregorian calendar, and on May 5th according to the Julian calendar.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky greeted Christians with a Western rite of Easter.
