The Slovak Prime Minister used the Czech word “prd do Stromovky” (“fart on Stromovka”) and said that it would be better to collect money to help cancer patients.
Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico criticized Slovaks who collected money to help Ukraine and called their actions a “fart” that will not affect anything, reports Denik N.
Fico said nothing prevents people from doing what they want with their money, but added that the United States has approved $60 billion in aid to Ukraine and the European Union has also approved tens of billions of euros.
“Nothing will change in Ukraine, and in a year or two all the money will be the same, maybe some will be stolen, but nothing will change in Ukraine, and we will be where we are,” he said. , added that in Slovakia it is better to collect for cancer patients than bullets and bombs.
Speaking about the money the Slovaks got to help Ukraine, Fico used the Czech expression “prd do Stromovky” (“fart on Stromovka”), which has the same meaning as “a drop in the bucket.”
The initiators of the collection have already reacted, saying that Fico insulted all the supporters of the initiative, especially the 99-year-old Otto Simko.
“Our main goal is the symbolic accession of Slovakia to the Czech initiative, which we have achieved that Slovakia is not cowardly or ungrateful, and if not the government, then civil society can make it clear that it knows where is the north ” , added the initiative.
Participants in the initiative collected almost four million euros.
We previously wrote that the residents of Slovakia collected more than three million euros for ammunition for Ukraine.
