Zelensky on joining the EU: Ready for negotiations

In a video message in the evening on Sunday, April 28, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky spoke about Ukraine’s diplomatic achievements.

“Ukraine has fulfilled all the necessary conditions for the real start of accession negotiations with the EU, and now the EU side must fulfill its obligations,” Zelensky said.

In the evening’s video message, the President also spoke about the preparations for the Peace Summit.

“We continue to prepare the first, inaugural Peace Summit for June, and our team, and with it the teams of key partners, are working hard to make the Summit truly global. We can say for sure: all continents will be represented – different parts of the world, different perspectives on global development But they are all united in the same recognition that the UN Charter and major international conventions are mandatory documents for every state in the world, including one like Russia, where madness reigns force Russia to peace and it will make the path to a just peace can begin in June,” said the president.

Preparations continue for the NATO summit to be held this summer.

A strong political signal is needed – the Alliance must not be afraid of its own strength and hide from its foundations. Every country that shares common values ​​and is ready to really defend them deserves an invitation to the Alliance, Zelensky emphasized.

Earlier it was reported that the European Commission presented a draft negotiation framework for Ukraine.
