More than 1 thousand pieces of equipment have already been restored, which is 70% of the damage caused by missiles and suicide bombers. Deputy Chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration Petr Panteleev stated this at a press briefing, the Official Portal of Kyiv reports.
According to him, this work is a priority for the city authorities and does not stop – in preparation for the heating season, a set of measures is planned that will allow the return of even larger volumes of lost energy capacity.
Panteleev emphasized that, despite the enemy’s constant missile attacks on energy infrastructure facilities, the previous heating season was quite stable.
Thanks to systematic preparation last year, in particular, full hydraulic testing and thorough diagnostics of pipelines, the accident rate during this heating season decreased by 15%. Therefore, this work is justified, and we will carry it out carefully,” he noted.
The hydraulic testing of networks necessary for the preliminary period has already begun in the capital.
Unfortunately, this process is accompanied by the need to stop the supply of hot water to the networks for a certain period. But it is precisely such tests that make it possible to identify emergency sections of pipelines and replace them, Panteleev noted, emphasizing that they will try to reduce the corresponding period to a minimum.
