Western analysts suggest that Ukraine hit the Russian S-300 air defense system with American missiles.
The second target against which the Ukrainian Armed Forces could use ATACMS missiles secretly transferred to Ukraine by the United States in March is probably the Russian S-300 air defense system near the temporarily occupied Berdyansk in the Zaporozhye region. This was confirmed by a report from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
Ukrainian forces launched an ATACMS missile strike on a Russian military base in occupied Crimea and an unidentified target east of Berdyansk, analysts quoted a US official as saying.
ISW noted that geolocation footage published on April 23 shows Ukrainian troops hitting several Russian S-300 air defense system radars southwest of occupied Volnovakha and northeast of Berdyansk.
The Ukrainian military has not yet confirmed this strike.
As you know, the media reported that the long-term ATACMS was in the first US aid package.
