The commander of the 93rd Mechanized Brigade “Kholodny Yar” Pavel Palisa opposes demobilization until the end of the war. He is convinced that people who have been in the ranks for a long time are the greatest carriers of combat experience.

The 93rd brigade under the command of Pavel Palisa is now holding the defense in the Bakhmut direction.
After 36 months, can we consider that the future for which we are fighting has already arrived? No, the military man said in a conversation with Public.
According to Palisa, the situation with the physical and moral fatigue of military personnel already in the army can be improved by attracting more people to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
I’ll explain why. First of all: people who have been in service for a long time are the main carriers of combat experience. And they will have to pass on this experience. Next point: 36 months. After 36 months, can we consider that the future for which we are fighting has already arrived? No,” said the military man.
According to Palisa, in this case, the Defense Forces will be able to carry out rotations more often, restore the combat effectiveness of units with greater frequency, reduce their time spent on the front line, and reduce physical and psychological stress.
The fighters will have the opportunity to relax and be with their families. And commanders will have the opportunity to devote more time to training and implementing those combat models that are currently relevant,” says Palisa.
Background
The Council adopted a bill to improve mobilization without a norm on demobilization. Before considering the law in the second reading, the provision that established demobilization after 36 months of service was removed from its wording at the request of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky and the Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov.
Issues of demobilization should be considered in a separate bill, which is already in development. The first version of the bill is due to be submitted to parliament in the coming months.
