The minister added that his personal contact with the Trump team was minimal, but recalled that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky invited Trump to visit Kyiv.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba believes that US ex-President Donald Trump was pressured by skeptics from the Republican Party before voting for aid to Ukraine. The minister said this in an interview with The Guardian.
Kuleba noted that official Kyiv is not specifically preparing for Trump’s second term, but is really ready for anything.
“I don’t know what will happen tomorrow, or how the political elites in the United States will behave. When Donald Trump first took office as president, we realized that there is always a way out of any crisis… Since 2014, we have so much that, without exaggeration, we are ready for anything,” said Kuleba.
The minister added that his personal contact with the Trump team was minimal, but recalled that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky invited Trump to visit Kyiv.
We remind you that the leader of the Republican Senate, Mitch McConnell, in a press conference on Tuesday, April 23, named former Fox News host Tucker Carlson and former President Donald Trump as those responsible for several months of delay of aid to Ukraine.
