Hungarian official Peter Szijjártó assures that only “peaceful efforts” can neutralize Russia’s aggressive intentions.
Today in the EU there is “preparation for a world war” because of the situation in Ukraine. This was said by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó, reports the Hungarian portal 444.hu.
According to him, the so-called “strategy” of the EU allegedly failed, and the supply of weapons to Ukraine “did not bring us closer to peace and did not improve Ukraine’s position on the battlefield.”
“Arms supplies can only prolong the war or increase the risk of escalating into a world war,” the Hungarian official said.
In his opinion, “peaceful efforts and diplomacy must replace the supply of arms as the only means to avoid further casualties and destruction.”
“Therefore, we Hungarians are ready to discuss all peace plans but it must also be clear that peace conferences can only be successful when all war participants are present,” he said, perhaps hinting at Russia’s invitation to the Peace Summit in. Switzerland.
The head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry criticized the intentions of the EU to adopt a new package of sanctions against the Russian Federation, because, in his opinion, the previous 13 packages were allegedly “failed.”
Szijjártó reiterated that the European measures “caused more damage to Europe than to Russia.” He also complained that the Hungarians must now “pay” for this, even though they had no responsibility for starting the war.
Earlier, Peter Szijjártó abandoned “peaceful efforts” to resolve the confrontation in Ukraine and said that Hungary would block the European Union’s aid to Ukraine in the amount of 2 billion euros.
