Kyiv should not worry about the news that Denmark will sell 24 fighters of this type to Argentina. Kyiv will receive the entire Danish aircraft fleet, because the Danish Air Force is switching to new F-35 aircraft. The Ambassador of Denmark to Ukraine Ole Egberg Mikkelsen stated this in an interview with “We are Ukraine”.
Don’t worry, there will definitely be planes for Ukraine. This is our entire F-16 fleet, which is now being phased out because we are getting a new generation of F-35 aircraft, he noted.
The diplomat noted that some of the fighters will still be sold to Argentina, but Ukraine will receive the number of aircraft that were promised to it.
Let us recall that in 2023, Ukraine’s allies announced the creation of an aviation coalition to transfer modern F-16 fighters to our state. The coalition was led by the Netherlands and Denmark.
Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Bart Eide said that Ukraine will be given F-16s with the latest weapons, thanks to which the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be able to hit the front line.
