In Russia, more than a quarter of participants in the war in Ukraine who sought psychological help had mental disorders. This was reported by the Russian Medical Bulletin in connection with a report from the Russian Ministry of Health.
Since June last year, more than 18 thousand people have received advice. Of these, more than 10 thousand belong to the category of main recipients: military personnel and their relatives who returned from the front, participants in the fighting on the side of “LPR” and “DPR” since May 2014 , as well as family members of fallen Russian military personnel.
According to the report, approximately 26% of those who applied had signs of mental and behavioral disorders. They are recommended to consult with psychotherapists, psychiatrists and psychiatrist-narcologists. More than 400 medical psychologists and 27 psychotherapists provided assistance to war participants.
In total, more than 300 thousand people applied for consultations, where, in addition to military personnel, assistance was given to refugees and internally displaced people.
It was previously reported that the population decline in the Russian Federation increased by 22% in one year.
It was also reported that in Moscow, a “Wagnerite” killed his partner and cut off his ear.
