The Upper House of the US Congress will consider a bill on military and financial aid to Ukraine supported by the House of Representatives on Tuesday, April 23. The Independent reports this in connection with the words of the Democratic Senate majority leader, Chuck Schumer.
On the same day, the Senate is expected to approve two more foreign aid bills – Israel and Taiwan.
It is noteworthy that the Senate will meet on Tuesday despite its recess which should have been from April 19 to 29.
As you know, on Saturday the US House of Representatives passed a bill to provide nearly $61 billion in aid to Ukraine, as well as bills to help Taiwan and Israel.
President Zelensky has responded to Congress’ decision by thanking each and everyone who supported the package.
