Western aviation can shoot down Russian missiles at Ukraine from the territory of their countries, the president said.
NATO aircraft can shoot down Russian missiles, and Western troops can reinforce the borders of Ukraine, Poland and the Baltics with Belarus. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said this in an interview with Brazilian journalists, published on Saturday, April 20.
“The aviation of France, Germany, Poland, Poland, Britain, it doesn’t matter who, will take to the air in the territories of their states… If these planes, this aviation will rise in the territory of their country and shoot down missiles that, of course, fly all over Ukraine, but they can fly over these territories, as already recorded… I will just give a standing ovation and thank you for it,” he said.
In addition, according to Zelensky, Western allies may tighten their borders with Belarus.
“Russia continues to threaten Belarus to cross the borders of Ukraine, it also threatens the borders of Belarus-Poland, as well as Belarus-Baltics Because Belarus does not control the troops of the Russian Federation located on the territory of Belarus.
“We have a positive attitude towards strengthening the borders… If there is an opportunity to strengthen the borders, then it is great for us and for Poland,” Zelensky added.
At the same time, he noted that he had not heard from French President Emmanuel Macron a proposal to introduce his army into the territory of Ukraine.
“This is a sign that the French army will come to the territory of Ukraine and fight us against Russia, I have never heard such a thing from Emmanuel,” he concluded.
Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron did not rule out sending troops to Ukraine. According to him, Russia should not win the war.
Afterwards, the Kremlin admitted that France could indeed “increase its level of involvement” in the war in Ukraine.
Vladimir Zelensky supported some proposals of Emmanuel Macron.
