It was a night departure of fighters from the special forces group Olad Team of the Third Assault Brigade to carry out a combat mission in the Avdeevsky direction.
The fighters went to a location in Avdeevka, from where they had to knock out the enemy. The battle had to be fought on the territory of a garage cooperative, half controlled by the enemy. Having dispersed across sectors, the fighters began to fire.
Subsequently, the task was updated: it is necessary to destroy the occupiers’ shelter to create a buffer zone between the enemy infantry and our positions. The fighters of the Third Assault coped with it successfully, eliminating the enemy accumulation point, where the enemy concentrated forces to carry out assault operations.
As a result of the fire raid, about 10 occupiers were also destroyed. After this, groups of fighters redeployed to the private sector of Orlovka to strengthen the positions of adjacent units in order to repel the enemy assault.
The fighting took place in the dilapidated houses of the village. The invaders tried to enter from the flank, but having quickly responded to the threat, the enemy’s attempt was stopped by fire. As a result, enemy losses amounted to about 30 personnel, more than 10 were destroyed during a shooting battle.
I’m happy with the guys, many had no combat experience, there was even one 18-year-old fighter who showed himself very well,” the platoon sergeant summed up the results of the night raid.
