The meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council, which the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky requested to meet, will take place on Friday in a virtual format. The corresponding announcement was made public by the Alliance headquarters on Thursday, April 18.

“On Friday, April 19, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg will chair a virtual meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council at the level of NATO defense ministers The virtual participation of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky is also expected,” the announcement said.

In anticipation of the date of the meeting, Stoltenberg himself announced. And earlier on Tuesday, Zelensky announced that he had initiated a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council. The meeting will discuss the issue of protecting the airspace from Russian strikes and air defense supplies.
