The most popular source of information about the war for Ukrainians is Telegram – it was chosen by 53% of citizens.

These results of a social study were published by the Ilya Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation.
In second and third places are interpersonal contacts (42%) and YouTube (40%). Telethon is used as a news source by 37% of respondents.
The study showed that the choice of information sources depends on the level of education.
People with secondary or incomplete secondary education primarily focus on telethons (49%) and communication with other people (48%), with secondary specialized education – Telegram channels (53%) and interpersonal communication channels (45%), and with a high level of education – Telegram channels (61%) and YouTube (45%). The percentage of telethon use decreases with increasing educational level.
Regarding the trust of Ukrainians in the information received from the authorities, 39% of respondents trust them to a greater or lesser extent, but only 6% declared complete trust.
The Ilk Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation, together with the sociological service of the Razumkov Center, conducted a survey from March 21 to March 27, 2024.
The face-to-face survey was conducted in Vinnitsa, Volyn, Dnepropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Transcarpathian, Zaporozhye, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kiev, Kirovograd, Lviv, Nikolaev, Odessa, Poltava, Rivne, Sumy, Ternopil, Kharkov, Kherson, Khmelnitsky, Cherkassy , Chernihiv, Chernivtsi regions and Kyiv (in Zaporozhye, Nikolaev, Kharkov, Kherson regions – only in those territories controlled by the Ukrainian government and in which hostilities are not ongoing).
2 thousand 20 respondents aged 18 years and over were interviewed. The theoretical sampling error does not exceed 2.3%.
