The enemy has almost destroyed thermal power generation, and hydroelectric power plants and gas infrastructure are also being attacked, the president said.
Russia destroyed almost all of Ukraine’s thermal power generation. Now there is a threat to Ukrainian nuclear power plants. This is what Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said at a special meeting of the European Council on Thursday, April 18.
“Russia has already destroyed almost all of our thermal power generation Dams and hydroelectric power station equipment, as well as gas infrastructure, is under terrorist attacks,” the head of state said.
The Ukrainian leader stressed that the occupiers do not give in to radiation blackmail and continue to “play like savages” with the security of the occupied Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
Zelensky considers a possible threat to other Ukrainian nuclear power plants.
“We do not exclude that the infrastructure of our other nuclear power plants and distribution networks is also under threat from Russian terrorism,” the head of state emphasized.
We remind you that the IAEA Rafael Grossi announced three direct hits on the protective structures of the main reactor of the Zaporizhia NPP. Rosatom has traditionally blamed the Ukrainian military for the strike.
Let’s add that British experts have evidence that the Russians faked an unmanned attack on the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant in the temporarily occupied Energodar.
