Trump has repeatedly boasted that he would negotiate a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine within 24 hours of returning to the White House.
US presidential candidate Donald Trump has repeatedly said that he can end Russia’s war against Ukraine within 24 hours. However, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, does not believe that this is possible. He said this on Wednesday, April 17, in an interview with The Washington Post.
At the same time, Budanov emphasized that he respects the former US President.
“I have great respect for Trump’s personality. There were nine times in his life when he climbed to the top, fell to the bottom of life and came back up again,” he said.
However, speaking about Trump’s promise to end the war within 24 hours, Budanov emphasized that “even someone like him cannot solve this issue in a day.”
Let’s remember that Trump previously promised to end the war in Ukraine “very quickly.” President Vladimir Zelensky said he was ready to listen to Trump’s specific “peace plan” and invited him to Ukraine.
