Two ATACMS ballistic missiles reportedly arrived at the airfield of the 39th helicopter regiment in Dzhankoy.
On Wednesday night in Crimea, the S-400 Triumph and S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems were destroyed at the military airport in Dzhankoy. Russian Telegram channels reported this on April 17.
It is said that the airfield of the 39th helicopter regiment of the 4th Air Force and Air Defense Army (military unit 46453, Dzhankoy) was hit by two MGM-140 ATACMS tactical ballistic missiles.
The first strike hit the positions of the S-400 Triumph air defense system and destroyed three launchers and a radar, and the second hit the reception and repair point for military equipment of the 77th anti-aircraft missile brigade (military unit 33742, Krasnodar region of the Russian Federation).
“At the time of the strike, two S-300 launchers (of an unspecified modification) were being serviced at the point. Also, as a result of the strike at the point, a second explosion of ammunition took place,” the report said.
There is no information yet about the damaged helicopters. 15 are wounded and 22 are missing from the crew.
