Protesters block the movement of trucks at the Yagodin and Rava-Russkaya checkpoints. About 570 trucks were intercepted.
On April 17, Polish farmers blocked truck traffic at two checkpoints, allowing a few trucks each hour to pass or restricting traffic entirely. This was announced by the spokesman of the State Border Service, Andrei Demchenko, reports Ukrinform.
The blockade is carried out in the direction of the Yagodin and Rava-Russkaya checkpoints. For the past 24 hours, Polish protesters have not allowed trucks to pass through these points on their way to Poland.
Protesters are still passing through a small number of trucks to Ukraine via Yagodin. The day before, they were 80.
As of Wednesday morning, only about 570 trucks were lined up across Poland at these two blocked points.
Cars and buses cross the border freely everywhere for this category of transport, movement on the other side of the border is not limited.
Meanwhile, the State Customs Service said Polish protesters will continue to block truck traffic at the Korczowa-Krakovec checkpoint from April 18.
“According to information from the Polish side, there are likely plans to block cargo entering Ukraine from 09:00 on April 18 to 09:00 on April 20, 2024 in front of the Korchova-Krakovets checkpoint,” said the message.
It is mentioned that the throughput will be one car per hour. At the same time, it does not apply to humanitarian and military cargo. The movement of passenger vehicles in both directions will be carried out without hindrance.
We remind you that on April 16, Polish farmers stopped blocking the Dolgobychev-Ugrinov checkpoint. Registration and passage of trucks at the border in both directions began to take place as usual.
