The aggressor state Russia is expanding propaganda measures in the regions to stem the decline in the number of people willing to serve in the army.
In Russia, the amount of conscription in the spring decreases, so propaganda trains begin to run through the regions. This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on Wednesday, April 17.
It was noted that the aggressor state Russia is increasing propaganda measures in the regions to prevent a fall in the number of people willing to serve in the army.
“Representatives of the Russian regime in the regions, the Kremlin refused to demand that the conscription plan be fulfilled in the spring and not be interrupted, because the decrease in the number of conscripts would mean a decrease in the number of people willing to sign a contract to the Russian army, which continues the genocidal war against Ukraine and the occupation of our territories,” the report said
It is reported that the intensification of the influence of information on the population in the regions of Russia indicates the rise of military glory and the dissemination of a narrative that the conscripts are guaranteed not to be taken to the war in Ukraine.
“For propaganda, among other things, the Russian railway is used – the carriages of passenger trains and electric trains are painted with militaristic prints, glorifying the military service, weapons and equipment of Russia Therefore, Putin’s Russia is actually copying the Bolshevik agitprop methods of a century ago with “agit trains,” the report added.
Let’s remember that Russian prisons were empty during the mass war in Ukraine. State Duma deputies claim that the decrease in the number of convictions has nothing to do with the war, but in June 2023 they passed a law allowing people with a criminal record to perform military service under a contract.
