Yesterday, April 15, they did not let a single truck through from Ukraine. This was reported by the RBC-Ukraine agency with reference to the representative of the State Border Service of Ukraine Andrey Demchenko.
It is noted that among the blocked checkpoints:
- “Yagodin”;
- “Rava-Russian”;
- “Ugrinov.”
Protesters allow several trucks per hour through, or even restrict traffic.
Because of these three points, Polish protesters did not allow trucks to go towards Poland at all over the past 24 hours,” Demchenko noted.
Also, protesters yesterday did not allow trucks to pass towards Ukraine because of the Ugrinov checkpoint.
Over the past 24 hours, only 70 trucks were allowed to leave Poland through Yagodin, despite the fact that this is the largest infrastructure route for trucks crossing the border, capable of handling about 1.4 thousand trucks in both directions.
As of this morning, April 16, there are about 600 trucks in queues in Poland.
Passenger cars and buses cross the border freely everywhere; for this category of transport, traffic on the other side of the border is not limited,” Demchenko noted.
In early March, Polish protesters announced that the protests would last until April 30.
