Queues also remain at previously unblocked border crossings, Ukrainian border guards warned.

Polish farmers continue to block the movement of trucks at three checkpoints – Yagodin, Rawa-Ruska and Ugrinov. For the past 24 hours, protesters have not allowed trucks to enter Poland. This was announced by the Spokesman of the State Border Service Andriy Demchenko on Tuesday, April 16, in a comment to a correspondent of Ukrinform.

The protesters also did not allow a car to pass through Ugrinov on its way to Ukraine. Through Yagodin, protesters allow a very small number of trucks each day to leave Poland. In the past day there were 70 of them, despite the fact that this is the largest infrastructure route for trucks crossing the border, which can handle about 1,400 trucks in both directions.

As of Tuesday morning, only about 600 trucks were lined up at these three blocked points across Poland. Cars and buses cross the border freely.

Queues also remain in the previously unblocked directions of the Krakovets and Shegini checkpoints – 900 and 450 trucks, respectively. However, there is heavy traffic both leaving and entering Ukraine.

Let’s remember that the Poles protested for at least six months against the import of Ukrainian agricultural products, the plans of the European Commission to extend the economic visa-free regime in Ukraine for another year, as well as against the EU’s “green deal”.

In addition, on March 28, an intergovernmental meeting between Ukraine and Poland took place in Warsaw, where the parties presented a common position on unblocking the border.
