The indictment against the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Andrey Nikolaenko was sent to the court.
Prosecutors from the Office of the Prosecutor General sent to the court an indictment against MP Andrei Nikolaenko for a fatal accident. The UCP press service reported this on Tuesday, April 16.
The investigation determined that on November 3, 2023, at about 10:00 on the Kyiv-Chop highway near the village of Berezovka, a car driven by a representative of the people ran into an 18-year-old girl who was crossing on the road.
The accused violated the traffic rules and exceeded the permissible maximum speed, causing the collision. The girl died at the scene from her injuries.
A few days after the accident, a measure of detention was chosen for the representative people – round-the-clock house arrest.
At the beginning of January 2024, the measure of Nikolayenko’s detention was changed from 24-hour house arrest to personal obligation.
