The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this today, April 14, on its Facebook page with reference to intelligence data.
Russia is the only terrorist in the world that holds a nuclear power plant hostage and uses it to blackmail Ukraine and the whole world. No one else, except Russian terrorists, has brought the world so close to the line of a deliberate radiation catastrophe,” the General Staff notes.
It is noted that in recent weeks alone, Russia has already tried several times to shift responsibility for the use of drones to attack Zaporizhia NPP facilities onto Ukraine.
These are deliberate Russian actions that continue the Russian practice of blackmailing our state and the entire international community with the risk of a catastrophe at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant,” the General Staff notes.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine notes that Ukraine has always taken and continues to treat the safety of nuclear facilities responsibly.
Only the return of the Zaporizhzhya NPP to Ukrainian control can restore the real safety of the plant. While Russian terrorists are at the Zaporizhia NPP, keep their military equipment there and can carry out their operations, the security of the station cannot be guaranteed, summarizes the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
