An unknown man with a knife entered Westfield Bondi Junction shopping centre. There he began to attack visitors. Four women and one person died. Another person died from stab wounds in hospital. About 10 other victims were hospitalized in serious or critical condition. Among them is the nine-month-old child of the deceased. This was reported by CNN and the Guardian.
Hundreds of people were hiding inside shops and warehouses during the attack. The police who arrived at the scene had to shoot the intruder.
Law enforcement officials believe the suspect acted alone. Therefore, the version of a terrorist attack is rejected. The identity of the attacker has not yet been established, but he is a 40-year-old man who was already “known to the police.”
Let us remind you that in June in the center of Rivne on Soborna Street there was a brawl with a massacre. The fight occurred during a sudden conflict between eight men. Three people were injured then.
