The head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasily Malyuk, stated this during a meeting of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, ZN.ua reports.
A local resident of Kherson was detained on April 10. He organized, together with enemy intelligence services, an attempt on Prokudin’s life,” Malysh noted.
According to the head of the SBU, a new type of enemy FPV drone was launched from a depth of 12 km. The traitor directly on the spot carried out visual observation and adjusted the fire on Prokudin’s car.
All this was documented. He was detained at the stage of the completed assassination attempt. The enemy drone, thanks to our electronic warfare systems, was landed on time,” said Malysh.
In addition, Malysh said that the SBU constantly counters the enemy’s penetration of critical infrastructure facilities and locations of defense industry enterprises. In particular, the following cases have occurred recently:
- a detained FSB agent in Dnepr, who filmed the thermal power plant on his phone and prepared retaliatory strikes; a former policeman was detained in Zaporozhye, who worked very closely at defense industry facilities;
- Several employees of Ukrzaliznytsia were detained who provided information to the enemy regarding the logistical movements of weapons and means of destruction.
In total, according to Malysh, 47 agent networks were identified and documented over the past year. Since the beginning of the year, 11 intruders have been detected, all of them have been detained.
