The Special Representative of Ukraine for the Middle East and Africa Maxim Subh, as part of a tour of African countries, made a working visit to Abidjan with the aim of officially opening the Ukrainian Embassy in the Republic of Côte d’ Ivory.
Ukraine opened an embassy in the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday, April 12.
“The Special Representative of Ukraine for the Middle East and Africa Maxim Subh, as part of a tour of African countries, made a working visit to Abidjan with the aim of officially opening the Ukrainian Embassy in the Republic of Côte d ‘Ivoire,” the message said.
The opening ceremony of the embassy was attended by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Ivorians Abroad Ouattara Wotabuna, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Côte d’Ivoire Kofi Evariste Yapi, heads of foreign diplomatic missions of the partner countries of Ukraine, and representatives of the Ivorian public.
The Ukrainian side informed Wotabun about the preparation process for the Global Peace Summit and expressed hope for the participation of the President of Côte d’Ivoire in the Summit.
The representative of Ivorian diplomacy assured that his country’s support for Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression is “firm and unyielding.”
Earlier it was reported that a Ukrainian embassy was opened in Congo. His work will contribute to increased cooperation with Congolese partners.
