Deputy head of the Ermak OP Andrey Sibiga will become the first deputy minister of foreign affairs. Nikolai Tochitsky, the current deputy minister, will be appointed in his place.
This was reported by Public on April 12, citing sources in the President’s Office.
In early April, the UP, citing its own sources, wrote that “in the near future, Zelensky plans to dismiss another deputy head of the OP, Andrei Sibig, who deals with foreign policy issues.”
According to interlocutors, he will become deputy minister of foreign affairs. Bankova plans to replace Sibig with the current Deputy Foreign Minister Nikolai Tochitsky, who studied in the same group at the Institute of International Relations with Andrei Ermak.
What is known about Sibig
48-year-old Sibiga began working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1997 as an attaché, third secretary, second secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
Since 1998 – second secretary, first secretary for consular issues of the Ukrainian Embassy in the Republic of Poland. Since December 2002 – First Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
Since 2006 – Deputy Director of the Department – Head of the Department, Deputy Director of the Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. Since 2008 – Minister Counselor of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Poland.
Since 2012 – acting Director, Director of the Consular Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
Since 2016 – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Turkey.
By presidential decree on May 31, 2021, Sibiga was appointed deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
